What are some good spots on Pickwick Lake?

Based on the video context, it seems that Pickwick Lake is experiencing flood conditions. During flood conditions, it's important to find clear water to fish in. Look for areas with current breaks, such as lay downs, rocks, docks, or stumps, where the fish can get out of the strong current. These areas can provide shelter for the bass and make it easier to catch them.

Additionally, the video mentions that during the flush, which is when a lot of water is coming into the system, the fish tend to set up on current breaks. So, focusing on these areas can be productive during this time.

Another tip mentioned in the videos is to look for pockets with creek channels running into them. These areas can be good for bass fishing, especially during the spawn. The video also suggests targeting shallow grass near the creek channels and even going deeper into the grass if necessary.

It's worth noting that the video mentions the importance of finding areas where you can access the bank during the spawn. This can limit the areas where the fish can go and make it easier to target them.

Finally, the video talks about fishing dams and road beds. Dams can be productive fishing spots, especially the high side of the dam. Road beds, which are underwater structures, can also hold bass throughout the year, particularly in the winter and summer months.

Overall, when fishing Pickwick Lake during flood conditions, focus on finding clear water, current breaks, pockets with creek channels, and areas with grass or road beds. These areas can provide good opportunities to catch bass.

Find Good Bass Fishing Spots! (Spring & Winter Tips) [Bill Lowen's Flood Water Pro Secrets] by The Bass University you heard me say during the flush we have a tremendous amount of water coming into the system and I'm going to use Lake Pickwick for example okay yeah the water got extremely high when practice started the lake was six foot low when we started the event it was eight foot high okay but we didn't have a lot of dirty water because most of that came in from another system came in from Lake Wilson and places like that above Pickwick okay so even though we had flood conditions and we had high water we had a lot of fishable water because it wasn't dirty okay and that's the big key is trying to find especially that time of year trying to find clear water okay that's why I say the flush is the easiest one to fish because we have a lot of options we have a lot of Clean Water Okay so kind of remember that with the flush okay so where do we start during the flush okay to me that like I said the flush is the easiest thing to fish because we have so many options and those fish are going to set up on what I call current breaks okay when that flood happens and Rises all right and remember this this is so important typically 99 of the time when the water rises the fish go with it when the water falls they go with it it's almost like tidal

How to Fish Lakes You've Never Been To | Bass Fishing Tips by Fish the Moment really good looking spot I found during my map study and all it is is a pocket with a creek channel running into it and there's actually a secondary creek channel that cuts off right here and it comes into this little creek and this is one of the few places that could actually get to the bank on peckerwood today because the lake was so flooded and I really like to find areas where I can get to the bank during the spawn because it really limits the area that those fish can get in but unfortunately I didn't get any bites there and so I moved on and I started fishing down some of the shallow grass that was right next to that creek channel and didn't get any bites and then I decided to actually go a little bit deeper into that grass as well so I tied on announcing the quarter weight and started pitching way back in those reeds and the read still had two to three feet of water in him and so I think there was some fish in him and I really think there were sufficient even further back where I couldn't get my bait but that didn't work and so finally I decided to move out to some isolated bushes in the mouth this pockets that again were close to that creek channel and there were in two to three feet of water and they

Find Good Bass Fishing Spots! (Spring & Winter Tips) [Bill Lowen's Flood Water Pro Secrets] by The Bass University water you know and here's the other thing to remember this happens every single year so it's nothing new it's not new to the fish it's just new to us so kind of remember that okay so with the flush our options are I want to say kind of wide open all right we can fish main river which is like what I did at Pickwick and at that time all you're going to want to do is concentrate on whatever type cover let them fish can get out of whether that's a lay down a Rock a dock a stump whatever that may be when those fish can get out of that cup out of that current that's exactly what they're going to do you know and that happens extremely fast those make fish will make that move in a day or two okay I always say that when that flush is happening that first day or two while the while the new water is coming in is always your best because those those fish know what's coming and they're going to feed up almost like a pre-spawn situation you know they're going to put that feedback on because they know conditions are going to get really bad so kind of remember that at that time of the year when that water is clear you can still concentrate on that main river type area because we're going to have that clean water okay the next thing we

LOCATING & CATCHING Big Bass Can Be SO EASY! by The Bass University it's going to be pretty predictable where they're going to be out because they're going to be in the Eddies and just find a ditch find a big stump and they're going to be behind that um Road beds once you get towards the lower end Bear Creek there are a ton of Road beds on the Pickwick lake chain and they might be in six to ten foot of water but it's a great stopping location for these fish coming off of the spawn and their players all the way through the fall in the winter in the winter we throw Alabama rigs on the road beds in the summer we're throwing jigs shaky heads and Carolina rigs and then of course the ledges but I have actually a whole slide for The Ledges for you guys so we're gonna move on okay guys we're going to talk about how to fish dams and this is one of my bread and butter techniques and it's how I just won my first Bass Pro Series event on Watson bar and I was actually fishing the high side of the dam and that's a place that not a lot of people think to fish um everyone knows if it's the low side but the high side is a very viable place to catch bass during the right times of the year my favorite two times are when fish are relating to Vertical structure

How To Break Down Any Lake And Start Catching Fish! by TacticalBassin all right guys I'm gonna give you a little bit of an update on what we figured out because again we have no information on this place thankfully we do have a little bit of mapping on this place it's basic it's like 10 foot contour lines but they do seem to be relatively accurate which at least helps us quickly identify a spot or two but we've caught a bunch of fish now and we've definitely identified that the best fish are coming from very similar places so let me show you take a look at the map here hopefully you can see it we just went around this little island top we caught a good one right here in this pocket you can see our track then this Waypoint up here right in the bend of this main Lake Point that Waypoint is where we caught three good ones back to back and then that good one Tim caught on a popper was right here in this Bend what it looks like now the tips of each one of those main Lake places we caught small fish but the best fish seemed to be right in those bends right in those pockets and the spots that have multiple fish are the spots that have grass growing in that pocket not to the surface mind you subsurface grass just emergent grass coming up but the spots where there's grass in that bend
