What color Zoom Trick Worm should I use with a Texas rig?

When choosing a Zoom Trick Worm color for bass fishing at Lake Arthur in August, it's important to consider the water clarity and the typical behavior of bass during this time of year. Based on the video context provided, here are some recommendations:

  1. Plum Color: This color has been highlighted multiple times in the videos as a very effective choice, especially during the summer months. It's particularly noted for its success in various conditions and seems to be a favorite among many anglers.

  2. Green Pumpkin: This is another versatile and reliable color. It's mentioned frequently as a go-to for clearer water conditions. Green pumpkin mimics natural prey and can be very effective when bass are feeding more actively.

  3. Black and Blue: If the water at Lake Arthur is murkier or you are fishing on cloudy days, a black and blue Trick Worm can be a great choice. This color combination provides a strong silhouette that bass can easily detect in low visibility conditions.

  4. June Bug Red: This color is particularly useful in off-colored water when bass might be more pressured and require a finesse presentation. The added red glitter can attract bass in stained water conditions.

For a Texas rig setup, you might want to use a light weight, such as a 1/4 ounce, especially if you are flipping into grass or other cover. This allows the worm to have a more natural fall, which can entice more bites.

In summary, for Lake Arthur in August, start with:

  • Plum for a reliable all-around choice.
  • Green Pumpkin for clearer water.
  • Black and Blue for murkier water or low light conditions.
  • June Bug Red for pressured bass in off-colored water.

Feel free to experiment with these colors based on the specific conditions you encounter. Happy fishing, and tight lines!

One of the BEST WORMS Ever Created! (Tackle Organization Day 2) by BassFishingHQ during the summer for me a couple years ago i was fishing lake chickamauga and i was fishing a zoom old monster worm in plum color and a guy that was fishing in the back of my boat was fishing the exact same worm the exact same weight everything was the exact same but he was fishing green pumpkin and i was getting a lot more bites than he was and we were fishing a big grass flat really you could catch a bass really kind of in any direction that you fish but i was getting a substantial amount more bites than he was and he actually ended up barring some of my plum colored zoom monster worms and he started catching fish and that was a time where the color really made a big difference now i like that plum color in a trick worm when i'm fishing during the summer specifically when i fish a nico rig i'm definitely not going to say i'm an expert when it comes to fishing a nico rig i think it's a finesse technique that i have fish the least amount out of a lot of finesse techniques but the most success i've had with a nico rig is in that plum color one specific situation that i like to fish is fishing a nico rig around you know wood cover offshore during the summer so if i'm fishing it on brush piles or if i'm fishing it around stumps

One of the BEST WORMS Ever Created! (Tackle Organization Day 2) by BassFishingHQ fishing this on a light texas rig what i love to do this is actually the way that i caught my one of my first like personal best bass was a seven pound even bass down in florida i was flipping a light texas rig only a quarter ounce weight into holes of grass and i caught a seven pounder on a black and blue trick worm just like this so black and blue it's nothing new that rhymes but it's a great color to have in a trick worm that can always catch a lot of bass the next colored lure that i really like in a trick worm is a june bug red color okay and that's the one that i really like i'm sure you could probably do this with your standard junebug color but i really like to have a little bit of that red glitter in there and there's two situations that i really like the junebug red for and one is if i'm fishing off colored water but i feel like the bass won a finesse presentation that's when i'm usually going to fish this on like a light texas rig you know sometimes during the spring or sometimes during that late summer period when the fish have seen a lot of fishing pressure i think that that is when you can go behind guys with a texas rigged june bug worm in that off-colored water and catch shallow bass that aren't

Your TEXAS RIG Fishing Will Never Be The Same by BassFishingHQ is plum but there's a lot of good colors I like Plum I like green pumpkin I like June bug but anytime I'm kind of fishing off the bank or anytime I'm fishing in the summertime I pick up the zoom old monster a lot this is also a great bait to use in ponds during the summer as well now typically when I'm fishing the zoom old monster I like it on 15lb fluorocarbon line and the hook that I like to use with this bait is an offset worm hook I believe this one here is an owner hook the big thing when you're fishing a big worm like this is a lot of guys tend to want to put this hook way down here and if you do that in your fishing it just leads to a lot of frustration because you're going to scrunch up the top of this worm so you do not have to put a hook way down here here as you can see I leave about a/ inch and then I pop that hook out and I hook up with fish even in Ohio where I'm fishing for like one PB fish a lot of times so anytime you're fishing in the summer anytime you're fishing offshore do not forget about that Zoom old monster the next Texas Rig that I have caught a ton of fish on is the zoom speed crawl the zoom speed crawl has
