Why do you seem so focused on bass?

My focus on bass fishing stems from a deep appreciation for the sport and the unique challenges it presents. Bass fishing requires a blend of strategy, skill, and knowledge of the fish's behavior, which makes it an endlessly fascinating pursuit for anglers at all levels.

Bass, particularly largemouth and smallmouth, are known for their fighting spirit and the excitement they bring once hooked. They inhabit a variety of water bodies, from small ponds to large reservoirs, and this diversity of habitats requires different techniques and approaches, which keeps the sport dynamic and engaging.

Moreover, bass fishing has a strong community with competitive tournaments ranging from local club events to professional circuits like the Bassmaster Elite Series and FLW Tour. This competitive aspect pushes anglers to continually improve their skills and knowledge.

In the context of the videos you've mentioned, there's an emphasis on understanding bass behavior through scientific studies, which can significantly improve an angler's success. Additionally, the videos highlight the importance of fishing to one's strengths, whether that's finesse fishing with wacky rigs or power fishing with crankbaits, and the personal growth and connection to nature that comes with the sport.

Bass fishing isn't just about the catch; it's about the entire experience, from analyzing patterns to adapting to various conditions. It's a sport that teaches patience, perseverance, and respect for the aquatic environment, which is why it has captured my focus and passion.

My STORY - How I Got Started Fishing! by Fishing with Nordbye next few years this has always been a goal in line and it's getting closer every day you cannot imagine how tough it is the fish at the top professional level you only have roughly 200 anglers in each of those tournaments out of the whole nation to get to fish professionally full-time it takes time and effort to compete against these top anglers that makes it so much more meaningful when you place well in the tournament I go down a week before in preparation for the tournament usually I pre fish the lake in different areas trying to find out where the bass are if they're shallow if they're deep if they're feeding on shad or crawdads and just the best way to catch them is you got to figure that out or you're not going to do well in the upcoming tournament my 2017 tournament season is starting to come to an end I'll be gearing up for the FLW coach the series of 2018 and the lakes next year will be Table Rock Kentucky Lake and Lake in those arcs again so I'm excited for that God has given me this passion for bass fishing and I will continue to chase it

I Know Exactly Why You Are Not Catching Many Big Bass… by Intuitive Angling With Randy Blaukat out what the big fish want you know the bait or whatever he was completely focused on catching big ones and he caught a lot of big ones and as a result I took that to the Bassmaster tournament circuit and the first 10 years that I fished Bassmaster I think I won daily big bass award something like seven or eight times so I learned a lot from Terry about what to focus on that here's the main thing the main problem a lot of people have when they're where why they don't consistently catch big ones is they're simply not fishing the techniques that produce big fish if you you can catch big ones on anything I mean I think that I think there's been some state record largemouth Connor crappie jigs before I'm not saying you can't catch a big one on anything but if you catch a big one on a certain lure category a lot of times it's just a random coincidence if you're going to consistently catch big fish you have to fish those lure categories that produce big ones and that is completely dependent upon the area that you're fishing the the type of waters the geographical location say for example if you're fishing Florida a lot of times a lot of the big ones down there come on you know flipping matted vegetation or you know occasionally you'll catch some big ones on top wires but flipping those thick mats
