When should I throw a Spro Beast Master?

Hey there! It looks like you're asking about the appropriate time to throw a SPRO Beast Master. While the specific term "Beast Master" isn't mentioned in the provided video context, I can give you some general advice based on similar lures and techniques discussed.

From the context of the videos, particularly the one about jerkbaits by Brian Snowden, it seems that the timing for using specific lures can vary based on water temperature and fish behavior. For a lure like the SPRO Beast Master, which I assume is a larger, more aggressive bait, you would typically want to use it during times when bass are more active and willing to chase down bigger prey.

Key Times to Use Larger Lures like the SPRO Beast Master:

  1. Spring (Pre-Spawn to Post-Spawn):

    • Pre-Spawn: Bass are feeding heavily to prepare for spawning, making them more likely to strike larger baits.
    • Post-Spawn: Bass are recovering from spawning and are often still aggressive and hungry.
  2. Fall:

    • Mid to Late Fall: Bass are feeding up for the winter, making them more likely to go after larger prey. This is also a time when weather conditions like wind and cloud cover can make big baits more effective, as mentioned in Randy Blaukat's video on giant Megabass lures.
  3. Weather Conditions:

    • Cloudy, Windy, and Rainy Days: These conditions can reduce visibility for bass, making them more prone to striking larger, more noticeable baits like the SPRO Beast Master.

Tips for Using Larger Lures:

  • Retrieve Speed: Experiment with different retrieve speeds. Sometimes a slower, more deliberate retrieve works best, while other times a faster, more erratic retrieve can trigger strikes.
  • Location: Focus on areas where bass are likely to be feeding, such as near schools of baitfish, around structure, or in deeper water where they might be suspended.
  • Gear: Use a rod and reel setup that can handle the larger lure size and weight. A heavy action rod and a reel with a good drag system are recommended.

If you have more specific details about the SPRO Beast Master or if it's a different type of lure, feel free to provide more information, and I can give you more tailored advice!

Happy fishing! šŸŽ£

Giant Megabass Lures...The Reality Behind These Cult Favorites by Intuitive Angling With Randy Blaukat ā†’ um there's the size comparison next to it this thing's massive as well so anyway the times you want to throw this thing springtime is definitely the best time you want to use these things from the late uh pre the late pre-spawn up until the late post-spawn is for the most part your high percentage times to catch fish on these baits the rest of the year is pretty tough there is another window that occurs in sort of a mid to late fall when these things start working good but for the most part the window is really small and on top of that the specific day that you have weather-wise is going to dictate your success on it too most of the time you're going to find out on these giant baits that success you have on it are going to be on those nasty windy type days cloudy rainy windy that's when those bass you know their their ability to see is cut down a little bit and they make a few more mistakes on those type of days and a bait like this that are that's giant and the commotion that they cause and the water that they push is offset by those weather conditions a little bit so first of all let's talk about the top water here the mega dog this thing is a giant topwater but you know it actually resembles a big gizzard shad

Matt Arey's Flutter Spoon Modification (Catch More Bass!) by Bassmaster ā†’ what's up y'all elite series pro matt area here and i want to give you a tip for some late summer early fall fishing uh one of my go-to techniques this time of year is spoon fishing uh spoon sizes vary based on the forage in that particular lake sometimes it's really small spoons sometimes it's really big spoon i consider this kind of a medium sized spoon i'm throwing it typically on a seven and a half foot lose custom pro heavy action rod i've got a hyper mag reel seven to one gear ratio 15 pound p-line fluorocarbon and let me show you what's cool about this technique and the way i like to rig it for this time of year a lot of times this time of year you're dealing with a lot of schooling fish big groups of fish things like that that are keying in on bait and one thing i found in the past is i have hooked some doubles by running a stinger hook on my top split ring of my spoons guys remember that this technique is a lot of fun for fun fishing but be sure to check your tournament rules to make sure this rigging technique is allowed now what i've done is i've lost a lot of those fish so i've learned to do something a little bit different i'll take a liter if you look up here at the top i've got a barrel swivel

NEW vs OLD Lures | Can the MB Box Compete? by DEBO'S Fishing ā†’ has to be suspending it's either going to be fall or spring but you can definitely use these in different ways you know around the grass in front of the grass um actually when I went on my monster bass trip last year I was using there was it the Slick stick or whatever their version of it and caught a bunch of good bass on the outside to grass and pads ton of fun so if you've not thrown a jerkbait in a while it doesn't have to be just spring or fall don't be afraid to get it out now even in the summer catch some feed okay I'm gonna say I saved the worst for last now I've never fished it so take this with a grain of salt I'm not saying the lure stinks however I think it's going to be hard for me to find a time and place to use this the dart prop Pro sinking I don't even know what to say about this thing it's interesting I will say that so you've got the two propellers on it you can see they're kind of like the Rapala is it the skitter prop I think they call it it's got a kind of a large hook inside of it there you can see so you know I would fish something like this a beast Coast Miyagi um there's been other swim baits that I would use a larger

How to choose the right jerkbait with Brian Snowden by Bassmaster ā†’ something like the SPRO the reason why I like the SPRO is it's got a little more of a rolling action a little more subtle action so as the water temperature cools down this bait is going to be my choice and the reason why I like to use it is that it's down there a little deeper six seven feet eight feet at the most but it's got a more subtle action still go side to side but definitely not as erratic as this but it also gets deeper so as that water continues to cool those fish might suspend out over timber or move out a little bit that's when this is gonna come into play and then obviously those winter months you know not just early winter but when those fish get to maybe the the ends of points or those deeper spots you can still catch them on a jerk then that's when maybe you'll throw the deep diving version of these right and then my favorite because it works really well it's easy to cast it doesn't have a real huge bill but it gets down 11 to 13 feet is the megawatts one ten plus one lucky craft makes a nice deep diving version as well but these are more of a very slow you want to bring that bait get it down usually do that with the reel to get it down to its maximum depth then
