Spring Buyer's Guide: Best Rods And Reels For Bass Fishing! by TacticalBassin → and i liked it but it didn't just leap out at me it leapt out at me last spring uh i got on a bite throwing a beast hook a four ought beast hook swimbait and it was just phenomenal i would hook a hundred percent of my bites they would never come off and then my bite changed i switched over to a swim jig same thing you just couldn't shake those fish if they ate it they were done for and then i got into a situation where it's lighter than i would normally throw for a frog but i needed to throw a smaller frog so i tied a smaller frog on it same deal it just was sticking those fish and since then i picked it up in a couple more of the lines just to fact check myself to make sure it was the same throughout and it's just one of those special rods that's 7 4 heavy if you need a workhorse rod that just gets it done it's just one of those it's like the 610 medium from x pride right it's like the 711 x pride just the baddest flipping and pitching rod of all time it's like that it's just one of those special models that will forever have a place in my lineup yeah i've been blown away the the legend extreme the legend elite like the the kroy stuff i really like um the models

The Best Fishing Rod & Reel Combos For New Bass Fisherman by Bass Fishing Declassified → companies will make a 7-2 um you know a 7-1 in some cases anywhere from seven foot to seven three medium heavy depending on your height and just what you feel comfortable with that is going to be the best fast rod for a lot of different things you can bottom bounce techniques like a like a a text rig or a Carolina rig you can even finesse fish a little bit like with a drop shot and stuff like that so all all those bottom bouncing techniques you can also use reaction techniques crank baits spinner baits chatter baits swim jigs all those things you can fish with a seven three medium heavy and then you pair that with a good casting reel um you know something in the 7.2 to 1 7.3 to 1 gear ratio that's seven range is really going to treat you well for a lot of different situations it's not too fast to to be able to use with uh you know some of the crankbaits it's not optimal for like deep diving crankbaits but you can fish it um and but it's it's it's just a good moderate gear ratio for for those styles of fishing now this Rod right here rod and reel combo if I was to to to recommend one rod and reel combo that you can get in for a reasonable price this one right here is the Fitzgerald uh fx8 combo this is a reel I've been using

Top 3 Rod and Reel Combos for Bass Fishing! by Nathan Quince Fishing → right here instead this is a seven foot three heavy action rod and I have the same seven one to one gear ratio reel on here this is actually a Bass Pro Pro Qualifier but you could put an lfs Speed Spool on there this Rod is the Falcon Bookoo Rod I actually won this at a college event but you could also get the Dobbins 735 Fury that Rod would do the same thing I used to actually have that rod and that's what I used but I broke it fishing a MAG draft one day so that's going to be one of the first techniques right there mag draft you can start to play around with some smaller swim baits a six inch swim bait you could fish on this Rod just fine what I do is I put 65 or 50 pound braid on here you can flip vegetation if your pond has a lot of vegetation you can do some punching some light flipping stuff like that you can throw a frog very effectively on this setup right here you can throw a Whopper plopper you can throw a buzzbait you could throw a small spook you might not keep the fish on as good again that's not the ideal frog rod with the jerk bait set up there this wouldn't be the ideal spook setup but you could do it with this Rod uh change out your hooks
