How are Shimano vs. Daiwa fishing reels?

Shimano and Daiwa are both well-known brands in the fishing industry, particularly for their fishing reels. While both brands offer high-quality reels, there are some differences between them.

Based on the video context, it seems that Shimano reels are praised for their smoothness, durability, and lighter weight. The video mentions that Shimano has made improvements in their reels by creating more room inside, allowing for bigger gears, which in turn results in smoother and more durable performance. They have also made other changes to reduce the weight of the reel. The Shimano reels mentioned in the video include the Corrado BFS and the Saragossa 6000.

On the other hand, Daiwa reels, such as the Daiwa Eliminator, are known for their solid construction and a more solid feel. The video mentions that the Daiwa Eliminator has an aluminum body, which contributes to its solidness. The video also mentions that some budget Shimano reels had issues with the drag washers, which could be a consideration for some anglers.

It's important to note that these observations are based on the specific reels mentioned in the videos. Shimano and Daiwa offer a wide range of reels with different features and price points, so it's always a good idea to research and read reviews to find the reel that best suits your needs and preferences.

If you have any specific questions about Shimano or Daiwa reels, or if you would like more information about a particular model or feature, please let me know and I'll be happy to help!

Summer Gear Review! New Rods And Reels! Shimano, Daiwa, 13 Fishing, St. Croix, Spro, And More! by TacticalBassin are the things that matter to me but I can say with this reel that they have done some tangible things uh it is smoother than the previous generation it is a mono caulk body which essentially I did some reading on the Reel and and I'll take all the stuff and put it into English here's what it boils down to they created more room inside of the Reel which allowed them to put bigger gears in it by going to bigger gears they were able to get smoother and more durable that's the big difference here outside of that they made a couple of other changes that really cut the weight back out I assume when you go to bigger gears you increase weight quite a bit so they were able to cut weight out of the Reel as well so you're talking lighter weight smoother and significantly more durable I mean all winds all the way around and I will say that this reel is extremely smooth and again one that I'm looking forward to putting even more time into as we go on two more these are both 13s this is the axum competition and this one is this is the G-Man reel what do they call that real it's not the G-Man reel even though it's got his name stamped on it it's the ascent competition um I like both of these I've caught fish on both of them already I've got probably

Summer Gear Review! New Rods And Reels! Shimano, Daiwa, 13 Fishing, St. Croix, Spro, And More! by TacticalBassin and I have gotten fanatical about bait finesse we love it it's super fun it allows us to fish so many finesse techniques that we enjoy doing but we can do it on bait casting equipment and we can do it really effectively we've been doing that primarily with the Corrado BFS in the Japanese Market there was an elder Baron BFS a higher end reel that reel is now over here in the U.S market and you can get them so the Alba Baron BFS biggest things you need to know about it from a functionality standpoint it's like an ounce and a half lighter than Corrado BFS it's that much of a difference drop in weight going from one to the other it also has the mgl3 Spool in it which is phenomenal we just talked about that from a functionality standpoint I have already put a lot of time into aloe vera and BFS so has Tim uh because again it was available on the JDM Market and we were curious so we got those reels and beat them to death now I tell people all the time I don't recommend buying from the JDM Market because you have no support right if you break a reel you're done for nobody in the U.S works on them uh so I don't recommend it but I mean for us that's a gamble I was willing to take because I wanted to know
