What are the lightest production rods?

Based on the video context provided, it seems that the lightest production rods mentioned are the Alpha Angler's "wrench" rod, the Abu Garcia medium action rod, and the Ike series medium light rod. These rods are designed to be lightweight and versatile, making them suitable for various fishing techniques and environments.

The Alpha Angler's "wrench" rod is specifically mentioned as being light and capable of throwing lighter lures. It is a popular seven-foot rod with a tip that allows for precise casting. The Abu Garcia medium action rod is part of their power series and is made of graphite. It has a medium action, which refers to the bend or flexibility of the rod's tip. This rod is versatile and can handle a quarter to three-quarter ounce lure weight range. The Ike series medium light rod is designed for finesse fishing techniques such as drop shot rigs, wacky rigs, and Ned rigs. It has a medium light action, which means it has a softer tip that absorbs bites while still providing enough backbone for hook sets.

It's important to note that the information provided is based on the video context and may not encompass all the lightest production rods available. If you have specific preferences or requirements, it would be helpful to provide more details so that I can give you a more tailored answer.

What Makes a QUALITY Fishing Rod? Q&A with Alpha Angler's Jake Boomer by Serious Angler Network was so light that that's the only thing you could do with it I think that's where it started and uh this Rod can't throw a floating flag because I've talked to a few different professional Anglers where they don't mind a little stiffer rod for the floating fly because you can always back the drag off but then the Rod's still Universal enough that when that technique isn't going or you go to a different Lake you could still have a long rod um and so we wanted to be able to throw something kind of light so we started there the wrench can throw lighter stuff and so we knew it needed to have the tip of the wrench which is a a really popular seven foot Rod um and you kind of work backwards you know a lot of times when we order our blanks I and our blank is like the graphite you know the what would you say blank the blank is the it's just the bra graphite I can order it in different sizes I can get it like eight feet or nine feet long and I could take out the chunks that will do the best so sometimes they're really right and they fall apart on you guys no that was totally me trying to mute myself for a second and I I moved even the screen I was worried about my internet you said enough sorry you know that's the most boring

How to Pick the Right Fishing Rod! by Mike Iaconelli Fishing happens to be a seven foot medium power rod which is graphite seven foot medium and then they have a lower weight classification this one remember what i said about casting this one is a quarter ounce to three quarter ounce okay a lot of these rods also will give you line specs and we do on the ike series as well this one says 10 to 17 pound line these are great specs because they put you in the ballpark but i want to get you thinking in terms of rod action or tip of the rod okay tip of the rod and different manufacturers suspect the rods differently so abu versus dayawa versus shimano versus lose they're all specking their rods a little different so i want you to start thinking in terms of action which equates to that rod bend that tip of the rod okay so right here we've got this is a medium action rod by abu garcia it's in their power series which is a graphite rod and when i put a load on the rod and the best way to do this if you're shopping at a retail store is to actually thread line through and grab the line and see how it feels but you could also just do it with your hand right if you look at this tip i want you to look at it as i put a load on that tip i want you to see the point

Rod and Reel Arsenal by Jon B. heavy rod a split grip I believe it way it's a little under four ounces little maybe maybe even less than that I'm not sure I've got the Shimano Corrado 287 seven point six ounces 7 to 1 gear ratio features VBS braking system right there as you can see the bread makes aluminum frame very lightweight like I said very fast as well and it's a great rail and like I said there's the Paolo endurance this rod is pretty killer it's got the drop shot keeper on there and very balanced it's slightly lighter than I mean this is my lightest rod that I've got up next we've got the shamanic rato 207 same system same thing going on here but we've got the Shimano kamara baitcasting rather the 7-foot to medium heavy it's a little bit thicker I believe then the the Paolo endurance but yet it still holds a strength it's a very firm rod I like it one thing I do not like about it is the hook keeper right there is right there and I've just got a UH a water Jake right there and it's a pretty awesome rod I really like this it's a killer I mean that's just a minor thing I mean I could care less about that but it's just it's a great setup not sure how much this way it's at blue boys three point six ounces the rod doves but don't quote me I have no idea
