Field Notes

A tungsten bead nymph designed to get down quickly in the water column. Best fished as part of a nymph rig under an indicator or as a dropper in pocket water, riffles, and deeper runs where trout are feeding subsurface.

  • Effective for subsurface trout feeding
  • Good choice for nymph rigs and droppers

Cons

  • Can snag more easily in rocky bottoms
  • Not a good choice when fish are feeding on the surface
