Description

Hand carved wood construction Body length 6.75" Weight 2.5 oz. Tune retaining .035 stainless steel cupped props held by two screws "Drop-Wire" hook hanger acts as a keel .063" through wire construction 5/0 Eagle Claw hooks with heat shrink on rear Wolverine Triple Split Rings Light epoxy coat finish in fish catching colors Description The "Top H2O" excels as a low light, night fishing, and cold front surface bait. For retrieve speed, reel bait fast enough to start the lure "blowing out" or tipping over... then just slow it down a notch for the best swimming action. When flat calm or tough fishing, you may want to slow it down even more for surprising results. If following fish appears early in retrieve and strike doesn't occur before getting to the boat, stop the bait and walk-the-dog with it. If that doesn't work, try sinking the bait underwater on the figure 8 for a boat-side strike. This bait can be fished effectively in up two a two foot chop. Field Notes

This is a surface bait designed for low-light, night fishing, and cold-front conditions. Retrieve it fast enough to make it blow out or tip over, then slow slightly for the best swimming action; it can also be walked at boatside or worked in a figure-8 for follow-up strikes. It handles calm water and light chop up to about two feet.

Pros

  • Hand-carved wood construction
  • Cupped props create strong surface commotion
  • Effective in low light, night, and cold-front conditions

Cons

  • Large, heavy bait requires stout tackle
  • Can be technique-sensitive to retrieve speed
