At 6"x 1.75" this hand carved wood tailbait is one of the finest ever constructed. Its wood body allows them to float better and run in rougher water. They have a "drop-wire" hook hanger for better hooking which acts as a keel. They will also run slower than most with cupped stainless blade which means bigger fish. And are guaranteed for the life of the bait. How's that for starters? The "Chopper XL" is at home in flat calm water or up to three foot waves! Keep in mind that with the design of the cupped tail blade, the bait will perform better at a slower to medium speed for optimum sound. When fish has been caught on the bait, make sure that the trough-wire shaft is totally straight, and heat shrink tubing on rear hook is still intact. Sharpen hooks, and get it back in the water for your next fish! NEW AUTOMOTIVE CLEAR COAT VERSION For the first time the we are offering a lower priced option of the Water Chopper XL. Same amazing action bait but instead of an epoxy finish like previously offered, it comes finished in an automotive clear coat which has been used since 2004 on Lee Lures Surface Baits. It certainly won't catch any less fish! See it in action Fish caught on this bait
