Smilin' Bill Jig Heads, Pre-Painted. Short Shank Version.

A lot of guys like to paint and tie their own heads or at least try their hand at it but the cost of gearing up to pour and paint the heads is prohibitive. It requires a well ventilated place to do it and an investment in equipment and materials. Result is they just don't do it. Here's a possible solution. Pre-painted heads at a reasonable cost and readily available. What you see here is a long time classic jig head. The Smilin' Bill has been around a very long time and it's still an effective lure. The hooks are Mustad #34185 60º, 2x strong, forged and Tin plated. Again, these are a long time proven jig hook in the short shank version. The tying collar features a taper that won't allow the dressing to slip. In addition the tying collar sizes are consistent from one size to the next. As is the usual practice the paint is powder coated and heat cured for durability. Accent colors are sprayed vinyl and the whole head is then powder coated clear and heat cured again to protect the finish. These make a great basis for your own ideas about tieing Bucktails for Striped Bass, Fluke, Weakfish, Redfish, Channel Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Pike Pickerel, Musky and more.
