Question: Can I achieve more side-coverage with Winston sunglasses? Answer: For anyone who loves our sunglasses and yet also wants a little extra side light protection when fishing, try using a gaiter and pull it up over the sides of your head which will cover the sides of the sunglasses and block out most of any side light. You can also get inexpensive slide-on SIDE SHIELDS. They slide onto the arms of your sunglasses and block out extra light. We used these in New Zealand recently and they worked well. However, we found that the sunglasses look much better without the side shields (especially for photos), so eventually took them off and were easily able to spot fish underwater all day without them, especially with our anti-reflective coating.
