Description

The Forest Oak or Rose She-Oak grows in NSW and Queensland and is usually seen growing on the fringes of rain forests. The rose she-oak has the largest contraction along the grain (12%) of any Australian wood and needs to be dried carefully to get full value as a useful timber. The great thing about this tree is that it can regenerate from the trunk once the tree is harvested.

This is a hard jerkbait/minnow-style lure for casting and twitching around bass cover or open water. It works well with pause-and-rip retrieves to trigger reaction strikes, especially when fish are suspended or feeding on baitfish.
