Description

In the face of a big Southerly wind on Thursday night, 10th July 2010 in the small rural community of Witta located in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland a newly finished $3 million timber mansion burnt to the ground. The structure had been built so big the firebrigade could not get around it to the lake behind it to access the water and they effectively had to let it burn out. In every fire not all is lost, there is always that peices of timber that does not burn completley and lays around gathering moss for for the next 12 years until it is recovered and recycled into timber vibes. The finished vibes look just like the timber in house more than 12 years after the tragic event.

Field Notes

This appears to be a topwater vibe-style lure, likely intended to be worked on the surface with a steady retrieve and occasional pauses or twitches. It would be most useful around open water or near cover when bass are feeding up top, especially in low-light periods or when fish are chasing bait.

Pros

  • Surface presentation can draw aggressive strikes.
  • Simple to work with a steady retrieve or walk-style action.
  • Distinctive profile can stand out in low light.

Cons

  • Topwater effectiveness drops when bass are not feeding near the surface.
  • May be less effective in heavy wind or rough water.
  • Treble hooks can snag in thick vegetation or timber.
