Hareline Dubbin

Field Notes

Adhesive eyes are used as a fly-tying finishing detail on streamers, baitfish patterns, and other articulated or baitfish-style flies. They help add realism and can be applied to completed fly bodies before sealing with resin or head cement.

Pros

  • Easy way to add realistic eye detail to flies
  • Lightweight and simple to apply
  • Useful for many streamer and saltwater patterns

Cons

  • Not a standalone fishing lure
  • Adhesive backing may need extra sealing for durability
