Our semi-stiff rigs are crafted from 920lbs stainless (49-strand) 7x7 cable , double-spun (excluding 9/0) for superior durability and rigidity. Each connection is sealed with clear 3:1 adhesive-lined heat-shrink tubing , allowing you to visually inspect your crimps while adding a layer of protection against chafing and corrosion. The slightly stiffer profile improves bait tracking and hook presentation, while the longer overall rig length offers the ability to scale hooksize down if preferred. At the heart of every Pro-Series hookset is the FUDO Super Ocean Kona Cut Needle Eye hook — hand-tuned in Japan by master craftsmen from premium Japanese stainless steel. The needle eye design reduces the side profile of a standard round eye, minimizing the chance of deflection off a marlin’s or billfish’s bill during a strike.
