For tog fishing around rocks, the most useful tackle is usually:
Tog hold tight to rock piles, jetties, and ledges, so fish slowly and keep contact with bottom. Use enough weight to stay down without dragging too much. A sensitive rod helps detect the subtle bite, then set hard to pull them away from cover.
Switch to heavier sinker or jig weight if current or depth keeps you off bottom. Move to a lighter presentation if fish are short-striking or the bite is very cautious. If snags are constant, try a shorter leader or a different angle to the rocks.
