A desktop CNC machine is so much fun! Overshadowed by low-cost 3D printers, but the resulting output is night and day. Built several early prototypes using a Roland MDX-40 during lockdowns. While not perfect as I had trouble calibrating this older machine, it was nice having a solid wood prototype without having to deal with resin fumes and alcohol washes. There are much more robust desktop CNC machines on the market now so looking forward to revisiting in the future.
