The Waylander Shallow Pulse has been specifically designed for working over shallow ground such as rocky reefs and boulder field, the kind of terrain where big bass love to hunt. At 9cm , it has a compact, subtle profile that appeals to fish of all sizes. But while the size is discreet, the action is anything but. The Shallow Pulse produces an aggressive, wide side-to-side swimming action, exactly the type of movement that triggers instinctive strikes from bass. It’s the kind of lure they simply cannot ignore. Although it’s a sinking lure, it only sinks if you let it. On a slow to medium retrieve, it runs approximately 20-30cm below the surface. By lifting the rod tip, you can keep it extremely shallow, literally just under the surface when necessary. It can also be worked right up to the surface with subtle splashes over shallow ground to provoke explosive surface hits. Built for strength and reliability, the lure is wired through and fitted with strong BKK hooks for maximum confidence when a big fish strikes.
