Samson Long Cast 'Todos' Spinning Rod The successful Long Cast Todos 12ft lure rod has been developed following many years of fishing the rugged coastlines of Portugal and the tropics. The lightweight, 2 section 30T Japanese Toray carbon blank has a fast action with a relatively stiff tip, perfect for launching your lure to the horizon and controlling it around rocks and features. The 30 to 100g casting range gives you the versatility to use a variety of surface and sub-surface lures to adapt to changing conditions, meaning you only have to carry one rod for a day’s fishing. Tested on a variety of hard-fighting tropical fish, the Todos has proven itself against many species. From large corvina in South Africa, 40lb tuna in Australia to 50lb Roosterfish plus snapper, jacks and large snook in Central America, the Todos is a highly capable long range rod. During trials the Todos was easily able to cast over 100m casting 50g, bringing deep water and distant reefs into range, allowing you to get your lure to the fish. With the H model able to deadlift 7kg, and the XH 11kg, you can safely lift fish from the water in rough or difficult conditions, greatly increasing the chance of you successfully landing your catch. The rod is fitted with quality braid-safe SIC Long Cast Micro Guide System, ensuring long range casting and line control to gain the maximum distance with your cast. A 70cm EVA handle provides the comfort and leverage you need for a day’s monster hunting. Paired with a 4000 size reel for bass or a 5000 to 8000 size reel for tropical species and loaded with 15 to 50lb braid, the Todos will subdue hard-fighting tropical species, as well as large fish from the shore in the UK.
