Valley Hill Air Deep 80S Sinking Jerkbaits

Despite it's unassuming profile the Air Deep has been one of my most productive hard baits ever. They sink out deeper than most lures in this size range, so you can easily get down 7-8 feet when needed which makes them very effective for halibut in the harbors or when fishing off jetties. These JDM lures are specifically meant for fishing around docks, piers and inner harbors in Japan for their saltwater seabass that's why they dive deep and have a natural swimming action even at high retrieve. This makes them great for fishing around Long Beach, Alamitos or even Huntington Harbor. I've gotten halibut, spotties, calicos and even barracuda in the harbor on it. They work great fishing at high tide above eelgrass in Newport. They weigh 10g which is still heavy enough for me to get a solid cast using a 7ft 10-20lb rod and 100 size baitcaster, you'd get even better distance out of a lighter or longer rod. The hardware these are rigged with is great so no need to change anything out, we've pulled on rays with stock hooks and haven't bent any out.
