Description

Length: 4 inch Weight: 1.25 oz The Stinger Minnow is a lipless swimbait combined with a willow blade attachment. A half barrel swivel directly connected to the single wire construction makes this lure a first of its kind. The Stinger’s body design delivers a natural swimming action while the spinning willow blade delivers a flash point. The use of a trailing willow blade allows for a faster retrieve while the action of the lure stays true. Equipped with a 2/0 ILS (inline single) belly hook. Retrieve - - A medium to slow retrieve combined with frequent rod twitches will allow this lure to turn on its side and dart erratically to mimic and injured baitfish. Bluefish, false albacore, and bonito will often hit the stinger on a faster surface retrieve. Note: Due to an imperfection with the raw materials used to make the embedded swivel, there is a possibility that the willow blade attachment can break from the body with direct impact. Not all of the lures experience this fault, but they are all being sold at discount for this reason.

Field Notes

Use on a medium-to-slow retrieve with frequent rod twitches to make the lure roll and dart erratically like injured baitfish. For fast surface action, increase retrieve speed and keep it near the top where it can flash with the willow blade.

Pros

  • Willow blade adds flash and vibration
  • Erratic darting action with rod twitches
  • Lipless swimbait body provides natural swimming

Cons

  • Potential embedded swivel imperfection may cause blade attachment to break on impact
