The Slop Hog II TM is a solid soft plastic collapsible weed guard top water bait that is designed to be fished in lily pads and the thickest, heaviest cover the angler can find. Fishing Tips When fishing over grass, weeds or pads; hold the rod tip up at about a 45 % angle & work the hog just fast enough to keep it on the surface. Lower your rod and let it sink into open pockets. Use a steady retrieve or short jerks Use 17# or heavier low or no stretch line The New Slop Hog II TM has two major improvements over the Original Slop Hog. It now comes with an easily replaceable tail – you just screw it on. This also gives the angler the flexibility of changing the type of plastic trailer he wants to use, IE, craw, ribbon worm, etc. The old hook system has been replaced with a 6/0 Wide Gap, Mustad Needle Point hook. This has proven to greatly increase the hooking and holding power of the bait.
