Description

Leveraging Shimano’s proprietary ARMA Boost technology, the Shimano Armajoint 190SS Swimbait is designed to solve the challenges of casting big jointed swimbaits and vastly improves casting distance and accuracy. As the angler casts the lure, an internal magnet forces the body to fold into a compact shape to reduce the chances of the lure spinning during flight and lessen air resistance. Once the Armajoint hits the water, the lure body reengages with the internal magnet to create smooth and natural swimming action with slow-floating action. The Armajoint Swimbait will normally swim in an S-pattern, but the bait will not flare out when stopped due to the unique fold in its body. Shimano’s proprietary FLASH BOOST technology constantly emits a fish-attracting flash during the retrieve and on the pause by suspending a reflective foil on micro springs to mimic the flashing behavior of an injured baitfish. Perfectly balanced to slowly sink so anglers can target deeper sections of the water column, the Shimano Armajoint 190SS Swimbait delivers incredible versatility for targeting trophy bass.ShimanoLengthWeightClassArmajoint 190SS Swimbait7-1/2"2ozSlow SinkUpgrade Your Treble Hooks!

Field Notes

Best for targeting trophy bass when you want a big jointed baitfish profile with long casts and a natural S-curve swim. Use steady retrieves with pauses to let the lure reengage and flash, or work it over deeper water where a slow-sinking swimbait can stay in the strike zone longer.

Pros

  • ARMA Boost design improves casting distance and reduces helicoptering
  • Natural S-pattern swimming action
  • Slow-sinking profile reaches deeper water
  • FLASH BOOST adds flash on retrieve and pause

Cons

  • Large profile may be too much for smaller bass
  • Requires room and heavier tackle for best casting performance
