Description

New for 2023! The combo pack comes with one Shakey Jig Worm in 1/8 oz and 3/16 oz. which are described in full detail below. The combo pack also comes with three 8 packs of my ultimate color matched 5" coreshot laminate worms that match perfectly to the Shakey Jig Worm. These are 5" worms that are made of super soft, scented high float plastic with a flat bottom for great action. Limited Quantities. These sell out fast. The Shakey Jig Worm is a Bass Lab exlusive design and built in Collaboration with Brian Kohl, from Brian's Custom Tackle. This exclusive design is part finesse jig, part shakeyhead with some JDM inspired flair for something the bass haven't seen. The Shakey Jig Worm is tied with a variety of round silicone that mimics the springiness and action of round living rubber--we leave it extra long for some nice flow. Then we add just enough crystal flash to draw their attention, and finish it off "finesse jig" style with some natural material that is palmer tied up front. This bait will produce big bites--and numbers! Pair it up with a straight tail high float 5-7" finesse style worm and you've got a winning combination. Responsible for some solid tournament winning $$$ down South. It has also produced many bass over 5lbs for me on my home rivers. This bait is hand-tied on a 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 or 3/8 oz jig head with a recessed horizontal line tine to help you from hanging up. It sports a sticky sharp 3/0 hook for 1/8-1/4 oz and a 4/0 hook for the 3/8 oz model. The talon bait keeper is perfect for rigging shakey head style.

Field Notes

This is a finesse bass jig/worm combo built around a shakey-head style presentation. It’s best for dragging or shaking around bottom contact areas where a subtle profile and natural worm action can trigger bites. The included 5" high-float worms make it a good choice when fish want a slower, more precise presentation.

Pros

  • Combo includes matched jig heads and worms
  • Finesse profile for pressured bass
  • Hand-tied skirt material adds subtle movement
  • Recessed line tie helps reduce hang-ups

Cons

  • Not ideal for power fishing
  • Best suited to bass-specific finesse techniques
  • Limited weight options may not cover all depths
