Description

This is a Bass Lab EXCLUSIVE! For years I've been searching for a big-bodied, flat-sided, balsa crankbait to target bigger bass. I wanted a big high float balsa bait that was designed for cover cranking. Think shallow rock, wood, shell, gravel bars and pre-emergent grass for those bigger spring pre/post-spawn females. So, I teamed up with the BIG M to bring my vision to life. And now we've added the Epic Shad Jr. which has the same action as it's big brother just in a more compact package. The result is a hand-carved 5/8 oz and 1/2 oz plus crankbaits with a tight action that moves plenty of water and triggers those bigger bites. Because these baits are so buoyant, they back out of cover like a champ...with a secondary action "wobble" on the rise that triggers strikes! The custom single ticker rattle also creates just enough noise to draw big mamma's attention. These baits dive 5-7 feet depending on line size and are finished tough! Finally, the EPIC Shad and Epic Shad Jr. has a durable killer custom paint job by TK Stanley @ Tackle Kraft. Pair these up with a round bend or EWG size 2 or 3 treble for the full size and #4 treble for the Junior and you are good to go. Sneaky tip--use a Red Gammakatsu hook on the belly hook, and use a pull and stop retrieve while you're cranking through cover--you'll thank me later!
