RIO Knotty Hooker – Stonefly Nymph Jig Fly The RIO Knotty Hooker takes the proven knotted-leg design of RIO’s Sili-Leg Stone and pairs it with a highly effective jig-style stonefly nymph profile . The result is a lifelike, anatomically correct stonefly imitation built to fish deep and move naturally. The marabou abdomen provides constant motion, while the chenille thorax positions the knotted legs exactly where they belong on a real stonefly nymph. A tungsten bead head , slightly smaller than the thorax, completes the natural silhouette and helps the fly sink quickly. The jig hook allows anglers to fish tight to the bottom with fewer hang-ups. This pattern truly shines when fished under an indicator , suspended just off the bottom, where its movement and profile consistently draw eats from feeding trout.
