Field Notes

Use these on jig heads for a slow crawl or a faster steady retrieve when targeting striped bass, tarpon, tuna, and redfish. The large paddle tail gives a hard thump and works well when you want a big baitfish profile that can be fished at multiple speeds.

Pros

  • Large 7.75-inch profile for bigger inshore predators
  • Strong thumping action at both slow and fast retrieves
  • Pairs well with multiple jig head sizes

Cons

  • Requires matching jig head and may need trimming the nose to fit
  • Large size may be too much for smaller fish or finesse situations
