Description

The Norm Wood Special has always been one of the best imitations for the Golden Stones on the famous Deschutes River. It's custom dyed calf tail wing and two tone body have proven themselves to be VERY effective. Same fly as the Norm Wood Special, but with rubber legs added for even more attraction.

Field Notes

Best used as a dry fly imitation of golden stoneflies on freestone rivers, especially when adults are active near the surface. The rubber legs add extra movement and visibility, making it useful in riffles, seams, and other broken water where trout are feeding opportunistically.
