Nomad Tackle

Field Notes

Braided line is best when you want maximum sensitivity, long casts, and strong hooksets. It works well for inshore casting and jigging applications, especially around structure where abrasion resistance and thin diameter matter.

Pros

  • Thin diameter for long casts and better spool capacity
  • High sensitivity for detecting light bites
  • Strong braid for pulling fish from cover

Cons

  • Usually needs a leader for stealth in clear water
  • Can be more visible than fluorocarbon
  • Braid can dig into the spool if overfilled
