Description

The 247 Lures Mully Junior checks in at 4 1/2 inches long and 1 1/6oz. This lure casts incredibly well for it’s small, compact size, and will produce fish side-by-side with lures much bigger. Like the larger, original Mully, the Mully Junior is designed to create a lot of commotion on the water. A slow retrieve with rhythmic rod twitches will make the Mully Junior splash back and forth in a walk-the-dog retrieve. Or you can work the Mully Junior more erratically, causing it to jump and splash like a wounded and fleeing baitfish. Use the Mully Junior in both saltwater and freshwater; it’s a great lure for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Largemouth Bass, Pike, False Albacore, and more! Even in a small package, the Mully Junior is ready for anything you can throw at it. Thru-wired and rigged with the same quality hardware as all of our other 247 Lures – 200# split rings, 300# swivels, and 1/0 VMC 4x Trebles. As of January 2024, all our topwater lures - including this Mully Junior - are being rigged standard with one treble hook on the belly swivel and an inline single hook on the tail. This is a change we’ve been aiming to make for several years now, but finally have a quality vendor for the VMC inline singles we’ve been wanting to use.

Pros

  • Casts well for its compact size
  • Creates a lot of surface commotion
  • Versatile for both freshwater and saltwater
  • Rigged with quality hardware

Cons

  • Topwater presentation is less effective when fish are not feeding near the surface
  • May require some rod control to get the best action
