Mixed Herbs

A hookbait based on the Mixed Herbs attractor package was a product we never thought we’d be able to produce commercially , as the original Rod Hutchinson flavour has been so hard to come by in sustainable quantities. Therefore, we embarked on the journey of creating a bespoke flavour inspired by the original, with the freedom to add our own twist. We described the blend we envisioned to a specialist flavourist we work with, including the desired fragrance, base, and some individual components. After receiving several samples and documenting the results during field tests, we are incredibly pleased with the final result of a bespoke Mixed Herbs flavour, exclusively available to us. This unique blend captures the essence of traditional mixed herbs, including thyme and marjoram, enhanced with a couple of secret ingredients, resulting in a delightful herby aroma reminiscent of a kitchen spice rack. The addition of our own Aquaspice powdered palatant within the base mix further enhances the flavour profile with a subtle spicy undertone. This will not disperse at the same rate as the liquid attractors, adding depth to the attractor package. Once dried, the hookbaits are finished with a dash of oil-based attractors. We firmly believe these hookbaits will produce results all year round and sit high in the pecking order of hookbaits in many anglers' rucksacks. These are currently available in red food bait colour. As with all of our hookbaits, these are created in-house and lovingly finished by hand.
