This is a bass jig, best used around cover where a compact profile and weedless hook help it come through vegetation, wood, and docks. Pitch or cast it and work it with short hops or a slow drag along the bottom for a natural crawfish or baitfish presentation.

Pros

  • Weedless profile for cover
  • Versatile bottom-contact presentation
  • Strong contrast in stained water

Cons

  • Not ideal for fast-moving open-water retrieves
  • Can be less visible in very clear water without matching forage
