Description

The Hybrid Buzzbait presents a fresh look to fishing's most popular topwater lure style. This lure can perform optimally using a variety of retrieval methods. While designed as a topwater lure, the Hybrid Buzzbait can also be used as a subsurface lure. To use it this way, let the lure fall deeper down the water column and retrieve it like an inline spinner. Regardless of retrieval preference, the hand tied Hybrid-Skirt will dance through the water column, creating a unique movement pattern unto itself. Each lure is intricately constructed by hand with the highest grade components. Whereas most buzzbaits exhibit a cheaply made imported aluminum blade, the Hybrid Buzzbait sports a solid brass blade (5x raw material cost), creating unequaled vibration and resonance in the water. Key Features 100% assembled in the USA 5/0 extra strong Mustad hook Highest quality components Solid brass buzz blade Individually hand tied Hybrid-Skirt™ Premium NCB Brand bucktail (dyed in shop) Durable, high impact thread used to ensure a tight cinch High quality pure lead Because of the robust profile of the Hybrid-Skirt, a trailer is not necessary. However, if desired, the Hybrid Buzzbait can accommodate a wide variety of soft plastics such as paddle tails, lizards, swimbaits and more. Field Notes

Use it as a traditional buzzbait by burning it just under the surface to trigger reaction strikes. If you want a subsurface presentation, let it fall deeper and retrieve it more like an inline spinner to keep the blade working through the water column.

Pros

  • Solid brass blade for strong vibration and resonance
  • Hand-tied Hybrid-Skirt for distinctive movement
  • Extra-strong 5/0 Mustad hook
  • Can be fished both on the surface and subsurface

Cons

  • Buzzbait-style lure can be less effective in very calm, clear conditions without proper retrieval speed
  • Blade-driven lure may foul more easily around heavy cover if not retrieved correctly
