Berkley Fishing

Field Notes

A weighted wacky head is used to rig soft stickbaits or worms for a slow, fluttering fall. It is especially useful around cover, docks, and pressured fish when a subtle presentation is needed.

Pros

  • Simple way to add weight to a wacky rig
  • Good hook exposure for solid hookups
  • Works well with finesse presentations

Cons

  • Not ideal for heavy vegetation or thick cover
  • Requires soft plastics to be effective
