Description

The Lexa 500 is the younger brother of the HD 500 model, featuring the same size but with a few compromises to lower the price point. These reels come with brass gears, so you get a smoother feel while still maintaining durability while the HD's come with stainless which is the most durable but also a lot more expensive. These reels still come with some of Daiwa's corrosion resistant bearings in combination with normal stainless bearings to give you a good balance between price and performance. These reels hold a bit more line than the 400 sizes and we've been able to get up to 300 yards of 60lb on them which is plenty of capacity for the style of fishing this reel was designed for. Great for casting lures to yellowtail, yellowfin and bluefin.
