Introducing the NEW ALPHAS full model equipped with TWS & SV spool! This next-generation baitcasting reel features a design philosophy that aims for long-lasting initial performance thanks to the HYPERDRIVE design. Equipped with HYPERDRIVE Digigear, it achieves increased strength and improved rotation feel, and HYPER ARMED HOUSING (Al) provides robust body rigidity despite its compact size. Casting accuracy is also enhanced with the φ32mm SV spool, which can handle a wide range of lure weights, from lightweight lures. It is saltwater compatible and can handle various types of fishing, and of course, it inherits the ease of use that is a characteristic of the ALPHAS series, making it suitable for everyone from core anglers to beginners. The development and installation of a Φ32mm ultra-duralumin SV shallow spool allows for handling everything from finesse fishing to power fishing in cover using thick lines. Improved spool response and the compact form unique to ALPHAS allow for precise casts with a compact swing without increasing casting input. Low trajectory casts are possible, and high casting accuracy makes it possible to hit pinpoint locations with precision. Aiming for long-lasting high initial performance, the Hyper Drive design represents a next-generation design philosophy for baitcasting reels, significantly raising the standard of all basic performance aspects. The synergistic effect of these technologies ensures stable performance in all fields. HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR A newly designed gear system that pursues sustained strong and smooth rotation. By increasing the meshing ratio without reducing the module (size) of the gear teeth, which directly affects durability, DAIWA's unique technology achieves long-lasting initial smoothness. HYPER DOUBLE SUPPORT A drive support system that achieves sustained smoothness and strong yet light winding. By precisely supporting both ends of the pinion gear with two ball bearings, it does not dampen the input from the handle, enabling powerful and light winding even under load. HYPER ARMED HOUSING (AL) The housing system provides high rigidity and precision to firmly support the internal structure, resulting in a refined winding feel and powerful performance. Air Brake System This braking system significantly improves accuracy while providing extremely low backlash and a stress-free user experience. It provides firm braking during full casts, and during low-speed casting such as pitching, the inductor rotor doesn't protrude, allowing for low-trajectory casts, thus achieving a high level of balance between pitching and casting. SV-Concept The Super Versatile Concept delivers trouble-free performance in all situations and with all lures. This ultra-versatile brake concept handles all distances—short, medium, and long—and all lures—light, medium, and heavy—without any issues. It offers a very wide range of rod and lure options and is suitable for lure fishing of numerous fish species in both saltwater and freshwater. TWS (T-WING SYSTEM) TWS has successfully reduced resistance at the line guide closest to the spool, where the spool rotation speed is highest. By reducing the resistance to casting distance, it not only improves casting distance and control beyond conventional methods, but also allows for faster fall and reduced backlash. It has realized new possibilities for level wind not only during retrieval, but also during casting.
