Hyper Drive design made in Japan for Finesse fishing with small lures. This new Steez LTD CT reel basically features all of DAIWA's latest innovations and, thanks to its super-light 30mm G1 Duralumin spool, is particularly well-suited for fishing with small lures weighing approximately 5g – 30g. The magnesium body makes the reel extremely light to hold, allowing for long lasting fatigue-free fishing. With a gear ratio of 8.5:1 and 80cm retrieval, this is the fastest reel inside the CT family. The Hyper Drive design concept ensures perfect alignment of all internal components. Thanks to the Hyper Double Support, the shaft is supported by two ball bearings allowing a virtually no contact connection with pinion gear, providing and extremely quiet and silky-smooth rotation. The power transmission from the handle and the sensitivity in use are significantly improved. The CNC-machined Hyper Digigear drive gear is extremely durable and offers an outstanding life spam. For the Ultimate Casting Line Guard, we've made some changes to the TWS system. By changing the TWS size and angle, we reduced friction and increased casting distance. This also supports the use of thin braided PE lines. For the extra light Ultimate Casting spool design, the total weight and thus the starting inertia were considerably reduced by using G1 Duralumin material, which greatly improves casting performance. The Ultimate Casting magnetic drag with SV Boost System ensures greater casting distances and fewer tangles thanks to the two-step engagement of the magnetic inductors. The Ultimate Casting Zero Adjuster has been redesigned so that it can no longer be easily adjusted. Thanks to the advancements in magnetic drag technology with SV Boost, it is no longer necessary to adjust the spool drag via the mechanical drag on these DAIWA reels. All necessary settings for casting can be made just via the magnetic brake. The drag system also features a click sound when the line is released.
