I have bought both Medium and Medium Heavy models of the Chad Ferguson GFX model rods and I am completely satisfied with these rods the action on the Medium is soft through the top half of the rod but enough backbone to haul in the hog on the other end! The MH action is perfect for just about any fish out there! It's got the backbone for hauling the tanks out of the deep and sensitivity in the tip to detect the lightest bites. And let me tell you the cork hybrid grip is very nice! It feels great in the hand and won't get slippery when wet or slimey! I definitely recommend these rods to anyone looking for a quality rod at a good price point.

Caught an Alligator Gar out in Galveston Bay on Mother's Day. It was about 5-6 foot long around 70-90lbs, didnt have anything to officially weigh it but did have a 8 foot paddle to compare length. Rod held up flawlessly.

I'm very impressed with the sensitivity of the rod for smaller to medium catfish, while having more than enough backbone for the occasional larger channel or blue. So much so that I plan on ordering the same version in medium power and pairing it with the baitrunner 30 series reel for smaller cats.
