This reel paired up with my 7'6 medium heavy FMJ rod, has been such a blast to use. The reel is smooth and lets me bring in those 20+ channel cats like nothing. My dad is a spinning reel guy, but upon reeling in a nice kitty with my set up, he's open to having a similar set up. I am very happy with my purchase, thank you Whisker Seeker! :) Best, Daniel G.

Coming from abu garcia cat ambassadeur 6500, these reels are amazing!! And comboed with the fmj2 rod at 7 foot 6, there is noting you can't land!!

Purchased the Seeker 60 Pro to match a FMJ Medium-Heavy rod. Sturdy construction and smooth drag performance are its main characteristics. I’m enjoying the magnetic brake system with the external adjustment knob that provides quick, precise adjustments when changing line weights.

First time out to use my rod&reel that I bought from Wisker Seeker. I never used real with a magnetic break on it. So my first cast to avoid backlash I had to adjust it all the way up to 10. I chunk that thing and it went nearly as far as my ambassadors do. So I just cranked that reel down to about a six and chunked it again All I can say is WOW!!! Then I twisted it down to three and I swear to God I threw that thing across the lake. All with no backlash whatsoever. This real is probably going to become my favorite. Now I’ve got the pole broke in. We say 10 pound fish is breaking the pole in.I love it.

I have other brand reels that are built similar. The only diffrence I have found is Whisker Seekers uses a screw on reel foot where the other brand is 1 solid piece of bilit aluminum for the main body. I have found after using a whisker seeker pro I previously purchased. They are just as well built. I do not take my fishing gear lightly. I critique every thing I find for a flaw or problem. Where anyone else thats reads my review geta a fair review. I am comparing this reel reel to Abu and Akios. Akios mostly because they offer the complete bilit aluminum main fraim. Wheesker Seeker did a great job on them. Just remember always take a new reel apart and clean all the paking grease out of them regardless of brand name. Clean them well and relube them. You will get better casting results out of any brand.
