Hardy Aydon 8.5 foot 4 weight I have had my 4-piece 8.5-foot, 4-wt Aydon for a little over a year now. I got it from Dette Flies in Livingston Manor, New York. It is a wonderful rod! It can do near stuff, distance, and roll casting with seemingly little effort from it or me. A great all-round trout rod for normal-sized trout flies. And, I confess to having used it with #6 muddlers for smallmouth too! It wasn't the ideal tool for that, but once I got a little line out, it handled flies that size with no trouble. For frequent use of flies and streamers bigger than about a #8, I'd look at a 6-wt, and am thinking about a 9 foot 5 or 6 wt Aydon in that size to complement my 4 wt. I'd recommend the 8.5 foot 4 wt to anyone for small to maybe medium sized streams.

Hardy 9’ 5w Only used once. Seems like it is a great pile. Only questions is why only one eyelet has a ceramic insert?
