Description

Previously the Gene Larew Biffle Bug, the Yum Scutter Bug Creature Bait incorporates the best features of several top baits in one compact design. Built with hyper-active swimming legs with a special foot pad that makes them come alive with the slightest movement, anglers can also pinch off these legs to make the Scutter Bug more compact and create an unmatched gliding action on the lure’s descent. Featuring a slim yet wide body with ridges, the Scutter Bug is constructed with a solid body for the first ¾ in. of the bait, while the rest of the body is hollow like a tube. Pairing perfectly with Yum's Hardhead Swinging Football Jig Head for a “Bottom Buggin” crankbait-like action, the Yum Scutter Bug Creature Bait is a proven bass-catching bait and was utilized by Tommy Biffle to win the BASS Ft. Gibson Elite Series back in 2010.

Pros

  • Compact creature profile with active swimming legs
  • Can be trimmed for a more compact, gliding action
  • Pairs well with a swinging football jig head for bottom presentations

Cons

  • Best performance depends on rigging choice
  • Not as specialized as a dedicated jig or swimbait
