The Dry Selection - NEW for 2025

The Barbless Dry Fly Selection , is a selection of 5 styles of commonly used dry flies, we are supplying 5 different styles of dry flies - In total there are 15 flies supplied in our eco-friendly packaging. These flies are great all year round dry flies, and work especially well for those tricky early season trout and for taking grayling in September & October. All of the flies included within this selection are tied on the best hooks in the business - AHREX (see individual fly descriptions for more details). Descriptions and images of the flies can be found below (should you want to buy the flies individually, please click on the fly titles): Emerging Olive - An excellent emerger pattern, with a Z-Lon wing. This pattern is ideal to imitate the change from nymph to dun. We are supplying three Emerging Olives, all tied on an AHREX FW503 size 16 in this selection. Elk-Hair Caddis - Al Troth´s legendary Caddis fly. The Elk Hair Caddis is one of the most well known and lethal Caddis patterns. Caddis flies you will find two kinds of flies to mimic the adult flies, high and low floaters, this fly is a high floater that will dance around on the surface. Give this fly some movement occasionally and it will tease the fish to strike. We are supplying three Elk-Hair Caddis, all tied on an AHREX FW503 size 14 in this selection. Early Dun - This fly is a great generic imitation of the various Olive's which are commonly found in all rivers throughout the UK in the Spring and Summer months. We are supplying three Early Dun's, all tied on an AHREX FW503 size 14 in this selection. Caddis Upright - A stage in the Caddis lifecycle often forgotten. The female will after she drops her eggs slowly leave this life and end up on the fishes menu. Fish this fly free drifting. We are supplying three Caddis Upright's, all tied on an AHREX FW503 size 14 in this selection. Emerging Caddis - This is another Caddis imitation, one which is a low floater that will sit in the meniscus. Give this fly some movement occasionally and it will tease the fish to strike.
