Field Notes

A natural shad-pattern crankbait for covering water with a cast-and-retrieve retrieve. Best around bass, pike, walleye, muskie, and trout when fish are feeding on baitfish, especially in clear to lightly stained water. The suspending design lets it pause in the strike zone during stop-and-go retrieves.

Pros

  • Lifelike shad pattern for a natural presentation
  • Suspending model holds in the strike zone on pauses
  • Original crankbait action with an extreme wobble

Cons

  • Heavier terminal tackle can make it sink slowly
  • Best suited to moving-water or active fish rather than ultra-finesse presentations
