Description

The Teckel Sharker is a hollow body glidebait concept that is part frog, part glide bait. It walks like a larger hard body topwater walking bait with large side to side movements. Armed with a heavy-duty double frog hook to provide the power to remove fish from heavy cover, the razor-sharp hook points are carefully positioned just above the body of the frog to deliver superior hook-up ratios and finished with vibrant feather tails attached by a premium ball-bearing swivel to provide a secondary level of attraction and help the keel the lure during the retrieve. Field Notes

Use in and around heavy cover where you want a frog-style lure with glidebait-style side-to-side action. Retrieve it like a walking topwater to trigger sharp, wide cuts, or work it as a wakebait on the surface/subsurface for tighter, more controlled action. Burn the retrieve for erratic escaping movements when fish are reacting to disturbance.

Pros

  • Hollow-body glidebait concept with large side-to-side S-motion
  • Can be worked as both surface walker and subsurface wakebait
  • Heavy-duty double frog hook for better control in heavy cover
  • Feather tails and ball-bearing swivel add secondary attraction
  • Burn retrieve can create erratic escaping actions

Cons

  • Requires active, varied retrieves to fully realize walking/wake/erratic actions
  • Hooking in thick cover may still require careful rod control
