Description

European anglers love topwater walking the dog baits and know how to make them right! Thanks to an amazing team of designers, engineers and product developers Caperlan created the STK 100 , an amazing 3.9" - 5/8oz topwater initially designed for big European Perch and Southern Europe Largemouth Bass. In US the STK 100 excels for Smallmouth, Largemouth and Peacock Bass and a lot of predatory fish. With its wide and aggressive walking action, the STK 100 mimics a bait fish escaping and can be noticed by fish from the distance thanks to a loud rattle system. This surface lure literally rolls its sides while walking giving it a very natural walking swimming action. When paused it will sit in a 45 degrees position making it dangle and giving it a very triggering behavior. This topwater stick bait is armed with BKK 6062 #8 Black Nicker hooks.

Field Notes

Use it on calm to moderately windy days when fish are willing to chase near the surface. Cast it out, then work it with a steady walking retrieve; pause occasionally so it sits at an angle and dangles to trigger strikes.

Pros

  • Wide, aggressive walking-the-dog action
  • Loud rattle helps draw fish in from a distance
  • Natural side-rolling action while walking
  • Pauses create an angled, dangling presentation

Cons

  • Best results require active surface retrieval and pauses
  • Hook size/type may be overkill for very small fish in some waters
