This pattern is legendary for the Great Lakes Steelhead. Fish eat eggs indiscriminately, this pattern originally imitated the egg sac of the sucker, that migrates in early spring in the Lake Erie tributaries. Has also been hugely successful for all kinds of trout in all kinds of water.
