Sugartit

Field Notes

A squarebill crawfish blank is meant to be finished as a shallow-running crankbait for covering water around cover. It is best suited to bumping wood, rock, and shallow structure where a squarebill deflects well and triggers reaction strikes.

Pros

  • Squarebill profile is excellent for shallow cover deflection
  • Crawfish body shape is a strong bass trigger

Cons

  • Blank/unpainted lure requires finishing before use
  • Not intended for deep-water applications
