Field Notes

Use this jig when you need a compact, bottom-oriented presentation for panfish to walleye. Choose lighter weights (1/16–1/8 oz) for smaller species and deeper/stronger current or larger fish weights (3/16 oz and up) for walleye/pickerel and pike. Work it with short lifts and pauses to keep the jig in the strike zone.

Pros

  • Multiple weight options for different species and conditions
  • Sparkie jigs can be painted and finished with glitter coats
  • Designed for targeting walleye/pickerel and larger predators

Cons

  • Requires choosing the correct weight/hook size for the target
  • Painting/glitter customization may add extra steps
