The Clam Maki Spiiki may look simple, but its versatility is what makes it deadly. Designed to imitate a bloodworm or emerging larvae, the Spiiki delivers subtle, lifelike action that panfish and pressured fish can’t ignore. Fish it straight, nip-hook it, thread it on, or trim it down to create a short whip-tail—the Spiiki adapts to how the fish want it presented. Fish it horizontally for a natural swimming look, curl it onto the hook shank for a vertical, upward-facing presentation, or pound it on bottom to mimic a bloodworm rising from the mud. When floated upward, the tail quivers and swims with minimal rod movement, creating constant motion even when you’re barely moving the jig.
